Started some other projects over the last couple weeks, and I'm looking forward to getting these up.

In the Life of A BookTo sit atop a shelf all day is the fate of a book. Sitting way up high, waiting for eager hands to remove it from its dusty resting place and flip through the pages. A book relishes nothing more than to have someone trace over each word with their finger, to feel their breath as they whisper the beginning to themselves. From the dated tomes with yellowed pages to the mass-produced paperback fiction, every book waits for that curious someone to stroke its spine, wondering if the books is worth a look. They shiver with anticipation as their covers are opened. In the Life of A Book
And then they silently cry as they are placed back onto their shelf and

I opened my eyes, only to immediately shut them. Not that it helped against the blinding white light. I raised my hand to block the light. I wanted to feel surprised that I still had a hand despite being vaporized, but my head hurt like I was pummeled by a hammer. Rubbing my temples, I lifted myself off the hard floor. Dizzily, I tried to take a step, only to trip on my shoe laces. I gave up right then and there and just observed my unknown surroundings from the ground.
It obviously wasn't my room: Everything was white and polished, from the walls to the floor to the vases with equally white f

And in conclusion, with enough force, it is indeed possible to break the bonds between molecules that form solid masses, such as organic material. Any questions?
I raised my head from my desk, notes stuck to my forehead. It was very hard to listen to Mr. Dodgson give a lecture on anything with his drunken tones. I thought to myself, Why did we need to know if it was possible to break apart molecules with brute force? Or any kind of force? It sounded like something you need to know in order to build a death ray or something. Apparently the kid behind me was thinking

The thing about being bullied by someone like Barney was that people tended to give you a wide berth afterwards. Smelling like the aftermath of the Friday Special, I made my way to my locker and to Biology class unhindered. Everyone steered clear out of my way with their noses scrunched in disgust as I seated myself next to my childhood friend and lab partner, Tiffany Cook. The blond scooted her seat as far away as possible, pulling her shirt over her nose.
Oh come on. I dont smell that bad.
Yes, you do. Was it Barf?
No, Barney dumped me in
| A little about myself: I am an avid gamer, paying close attention to details. I spend my time on school work, running emulators to play the classics on my laptop, and working on writing little by little. I'm a self-proclaimed genius by birth, but, alas, a true-blue procrastinator as well. Don't be surprised when weeks go by without my submitting anything. Current long-term projects: >Eye of the Gamer: Your basic run-of-the-mill fan-fiction about video games, except I make sure to never touch main characters. Instead I take the little pieces and make stories around them. >Fantasy End (working title): A more serious piece of work where I take the most bizarre things I can think of and smoosh them into a working story. It has everything from favorite fairy tale characters to goblins on crack. Don't expect to see this one for a while. |
